Overview
Connect your Instagram Business or Creator account to Zupport and manage all Direct Messages from within the unified inbox. Instagram DM integration works through the Meta (Facebook) Business platform.
Requirements
- An Instagram Business or Creator account
- A linked Facebook Page (required by Meta's API)
- Admin access to the Facebook Page
Setup Instructions

Ensure your Instagram is a Business account
Go to your Instagram settings and switch to a Business or Creator account if you haven't already.

Link Instagram to your Facebook Page
In your Facebook Page settings, connect your Instagram account under Linked Accounts.

Connect via Zupport
In Zupport, go to Settings → Channels and click Connect Instagram. The authorization flow will use Meta OAuth, similar to Facebook Messenger.

Grant permissions
Authorize Zupport to access your Instagram messages. Select the Instagram account and linked Facebook Page during the authorization process.

💡 Tip: Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger share the same Meta OAuth connection. If you've already connected Facebook Messenger, adding Instagram is just a matter of granting additional permissions.
